Baker’s Acres sets ourselves apart by higher stewardship standards, transparency, and direct relationships with our customers. You know how your grain was grown, harvested, stored, and packaged when your source from Baker’s Acres.

Sustainable Growing Practices

Baker’s Acres focuses on being a no-till operation when at all possible. No-till maintains the soil’s structure and microbial life while capturing tons of carbon in the soil. Moisture probes under irrigation help us determine how much water crops are using so excess water does not leach fertilizer and waste energy. Applying crop rotation best practices minimizes both pest and weed pressure. Annual soil sampling allows us to maintain healthy fertile soils without over fertilizing, wasting resources, and harming the environment.

State of the Art Gluten Free Facility

Baker’s Acres has on-farm capacity for 220,000 bushels of gluten-free grain storage. We monitor grain with temperature cables, aerate as needed, and pull samples to make sure optimum moisture and quality are maintained. Depending on customer demand we ship semi loads bulk on hopper trailers and rail through a 3rd party.

Grain Cleaning Facility

In November 2021 the farm’s dedicated sorghum cleaning facility was complete. With this gluten-free facility, we have the ability to precision clean up to 500 bushels per hr. (28,000lbs). After the sorghum is cleaned of all foreign material the facility is able to either ship it bulk on hopper trailers or load it into metric ton tote bags for shipping.
